No. There are absolutely no transaction fees in the cloud.

Limitations on the number of products, users, customers, order?

No. There are no limits neither in the cloud, nor on your own hosting or server. Even the number of your team users (agents) who can access your store backend is not limited.

So what are the limitations of a single Shop-Script license?

One license of Shop-Script permits you to deploy one installation of the software and to establish an unlimited number of online storefronts. Should you need to deploy additional installations of Shop-Script, additional licenses must be purchased for each such case.

For example, if you have two copies of Shop-Script installed, then you need to purchase two licenses. And if all storefronts are hosted within a single installed copy of Shop-Script, only one license is sufficient.

The same rule applies for both PHP software and cloud-hosted purchase options.

Which is better: PHP software or hosted solution?

Both options allow you to ultimately create an online store. Choose the most convenient one depending on your budget and your plans on installation and modification of the standard software. In case of a hosted solution the software is pre-installed on our servers, you do not need to purchase a license or install the software. If you choose the PHP software option, you can purchase a license for $399 and install the application on your own web server or shared web hosting. By purchasing a license you also obtain access to the application's source code and become capable of modifying it to your specific business logic.

Can I use my own domain name with the hosted option (yourdomain.com)?

Yes, for sure! Immediately after sign up you can connect your domain name to your account or register a new domain name using the built-in Cloud app.

Can I begin to use Shop-Script as a hosted solution and later on switch to the PHP software version?

Certainly, you can. And this is a real advantage, because it means that there is absolutely no hosting lock-in! You may migrate your store from the cloud to your own hosting at any time.

How do I receive the software after paying for an order?

Shop-Script becomes available for download immediately after your payment is approved. To purchase a license of Shop-Script, place an order on our website. After your payment is processed and accepted, the purchased applications will be automatically packed to a distribution archive available for downloading in your personal account in the Webasyst Customer Center; it is the place where you can download the latest version of Webasyst software at any time. The application is available online only. It is not delivered on physical media (e.g., CD or DVD) because we regularly release updates, which are installed over the Internet.
