Where can I get a correctly formed sample CSV file?

For faster adding of new products to your online catalog or modifying existing products, it is recommended to use the CSV file import feature. How to create a valid CSV file is described in the WebAsyst Shop-Script user guide.

If you experience difficulties creating a correctly formed CSV file, you can generate a sample file using WebAsyst Shop-Script. To do so, manually create a sample catalog hierarchy consisting of several nested categories and products inside them. Then export the sample catalog into a CSV file in backend section "Products -> Export".

Download the exported file, open it with a any suitable table editor (e.g. OpenOffice or Microsoft Excel), learn its structure and create your own CSV file similar to exported sample.
