Why specify language in email box settings?

If you receive support requests in different languages, it would be convenient for their senders to see their personal online accounts and the texts of auto-replies sent from WebAsyst Help Desk in the same language in which their requests were written. To create a fixed relation between the language of the request and the language of the WebAsyst Help Desk interface available for customers, use the "Language" parameter in the email address settings.

Suppose you receive requests in two languages: in English and in German. To correctly handle such requests, set up 2 email addresses in WebAsyst Help Desk (e.g., support@mycompany.com and support@mycompany.de) and specify different languages for them.

To ensure that only requests written in a certain language are sent to the appropriate address, publish them on the websites which are mainly visited by the corresponding audience; e.g., publish the support@mycompany.com address on your English website and support@mycompany.de — on the German one. Thus, the customers who would send requests to support@mycompany.com will be identified as speaking English and those sending messages to support@mycompany.de will be considered German speakers.

Note: If you have WebAsyst Help Desk installed on your server, you may need to open section "Installer -> Settings -> MySQL server" and enable the German language under the "Languages" title to make it available in your account.
