My online storefront looks differently in different web browsers

If you have decided to change to look of your Shop-Script storefront, you will sooner or later notice that it is differently displayed by various web browsers: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Chrome, etc. Even if you do your best to comply with the latest HTML and CSS coding standards, it will not be a guarantee that your storefront will look in any browser as expected.

The problem is caused by the fact that each browser has its own way of interpreting web standards. Therefore, in order to make your storefront look equally in all popular browsers, their peculiarities should be taken into account. Remember that each design change should be tested in each browser to ensure correct displaying.

Information on the support of various CSS selectors is easily available on the Internet, e.g. at http://www.webdevout.net/browser-support-css.

Tip: If your knowledge of web designing is limited, and a unique storefront design must be created within a limited period of time, applying to a skilled third-party specialist is a recommended step.

Note that your storefront design must take the properties of its content into account: the maximum and minimum size of product images, the number of product images on the product detailed info page, the size and structure of product descriptions, etc.

For the same reason original design templates included in the Shop-Script distribution archive and offered as a hosted solution, should not be considered as all-purpose templates which can be used for absolutely any kind of online store. It is merely a basis for creation of your unique design, use it for this purpose by removing or modifying existing design elements, or adding your own ones.
