E-mail addresses created using the WebAsyst Mail online service can be accessed without the use of the WebAsyst interface. Accessing electronic correspondence is also possible with ordinary e-mail clients such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail etc. It may be convenient if you have created an e-mail address in your WebAsyst Mail account but prefer accessing mail by means of a certain desktop client.
For sending and receiving e-mail from and to a WebAsyst Mail hosted address using a desktop client, the following is required:
Note: Just after the registration you will be able to create e-mail addresses of the kind info@YOUR_ACCOUNT.webasyst.net or alex@YOUR_ACCOUNT.webasyst.net where YOUR_ACCOUNT stands for the name of your WebAsyst account.
However, if you switch to any of the paid pricing plans you will be able to register any second-level domain name like domain.com and create e-mail addresses of the kind info@domain.com or alex@domain.com).
Important note: Opening POP/IMAP access to a mailbox means that you would be able to connect to it using e-mail client software. Access to the mailbox by third parties will be blocked as it requires a user name and a password which are available only to the person who has created the address, i.e. to you.
