Each customer who has sent a request to WebAsyst Help Desk is assigned a unique number which is called client Id. You can see the client Id in the area with extra customer details which appears after you click customer name on the request-viewing page.
The client Id allows you to identify each customer without fixed reference to his/her contact details such as name or email address. Even if a customer's contact details change, you can still find him/her by the client Id.
In WebAsyst Help Desk the client Id is used to find requests sent by a customer. To find such requests, enter the Id of the required customer in the appropriate field of the advanced search form and click "Search".

Tip: In the contact details area of the request-viewing page there is a link to view all requests received from the customer. Clicking that link is identical to searching requests by client Id.
If you have WebAsyst Contacts installed in your WebAsyst account, then all customers from WebAsyst Help Desk automatically become available in the Contacts application. The "client Id" property of your customers in WebAsyst Help Desk is equal to the contact Id in WebAsyst Contacts.
