We offer free access to WebAsyst Shop-Script for customers of PRO and PREMIUM. Upgrade to the new version is done by users on their own (we do not offer upgrade services).
No, we do not provide upgrade service. Please follow instructions on how to upgrade to WebAsyst Shop-Script. If you do not wish to install scripts yourself, you may order paid installation service for $50 (please contact support to order custom installation service) which includes installation of WebAsyst Shop-Script on your web server and transfer of data from your present Shop-Script store to the new one. Please note that this is not a full upgrade service, but only installation — we do not provide design customization services (you tune design yourself).
Definitely, yes. WebAsyst Shop-Script offers many more features than Shop-Script PREMIUM and is simpler to use. Both storefront and backend became easier to use for both you and your clients. The new WebAsyst storefront functionality can be greatly increased with other WebAsyst applications which offer online file storage, project management, issue tracking, and more.
These are products of the Shop-Script family, predecessors to WebAsyst Shop-Script. PRO and PREMIUM versions are no longer available for sale. Both of these products have been replaced with WebAsyst Shop-Script, which is more powerful and offers more features and better performance.
Shop-Script FREE is still available for free download. FREE version is a free shopping cart script independent from WebAsyst Shop-Script. We offer it as a free download; however, we do not offer technical support for the FREE version.
Yes. We shall continue to support Shop-Script PRO and PREMIUM until September 1st, 2009.
This means that we continue to provide email technical support for these products. Should new bugs or malfunction be discovered in PRO or PREMIUM, we will fix it and publish update patches. We will not be adding new features to these products.
Customers of PRO and PREMIUM are still able to download purchased PRO and PREMIUM versions in Customer Center, and as well as the new WebAsyst Shop-Script.
These options are just different, you can not say one is better than the other. WebAsyst Shop-Script as PHP software is for merchants who want to have full control over their online stores — from backend access through browser to direct MySQL database access and source files. When you host Shop-Script on your web server, you have full access to PHP sources, and this means you can customize software to meet your needs (do it yourself or hire a developer).
WebAsyst Shop-Script as a hosted service is for merchants who want to start their own online store quickly.
Both options offer the same functionality.
The product is delivered as a downloadable installation package. As soon as your payment is approved, we open a dedicated account for you with unique login and password in our Customer Center, where you can get the most recent version of the product. We do not deliver software copies on CD/DVD as we upgrade our products frequently, and downloading via Internet is much more efficient way to ship.
Very simply. Login to your store backend and go to the "Presentation" screen; use WYSIWYG design editor to tune your storefront look & feel. Follow the instructions given inside this design editor.

We have just released WebAsyst Shopping Cart service and currently offer only one design template. More design templates are coming soon... you will be able to switch to new design themes as soon as we release them.
